About Pete
Pete Smyser is a virtuoso guitarist proficient in many musical genres including jazz, classical, contemporary popular and more. He has 26 years of professional performing experience. Pete pursued formal studies in both classical and jazz music and received a full scholarship to attend Temple University in 1985.
Critics have likened Pete Smyser's jazz artistry to such legendary guitar icons as Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Jim Hall, and Barney Kessel. Smyser has released 6 CDs as a leader.
Smyser has 26 years of teaching experience and currently provides private guitar instruction at Moravian College (Bethlehem, PA) and from his home studio (a renovated early 19th century barn in Harleysville, PA).

Was on the artist roster of the Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour (PennPAT) from 1997-2004.
Was invited to perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra in 2005.
